Jorge Lasheras, Chairman of the Japan-Spain Business Circle (CEJE) participated in the presentation of the book ‘Wa, Claves de la cultura corporativa japonesa [Wa, Keys to the Japanese Business Culture]’ on Monday the 29th of September, by authors Álex Fernández de Castro, Professor at ESADE and Advisor at JIC; Jorge Calvo, Vice Deane of the GLOBIS School of Management (Tokio); and Pedro Navarrete, Managing Partner of mtH-3 and Professor at the UAO, and the round table discussion organised on this subject.


‘Wa, Claves de la cultura corporativa japonesa [Wa, Keys to the Japanese Business Culture]’ describes how the companies work and the work philosophy in Japan, and provides advice for interacting appropriately and efficiently in Japanese business environments. The book also includes interviews with Spanish executives with long-standing careers in Japanese companies like Jorge Lasheras himself, who was Chairman and CEO of Yamaha for 25 years, and other members associated with CEJE, such as Marta Marsal (Epson), Miquel Àngel García (Olympus), Antonio Alcalá (Fujifilm) and Jorge Calvo (Roland DG), among others.


The event, organised by Foment del Treball, Casa Asis and the Libros de Cabecera publishing house also featured personalities such as the Honourable Mr. Naohito Watanbe, Consul General of Japan, Chairman of the Foment del Treball International Commission and David Navarro, CEO of Casa Asia.

The Japan-Spain Business Circle [Círculo Empresarial Japón España (CEJE)] is the Association that includes Japanese companies established in Spain, as well as Spanish companies with interests in Japan, and that arise from the Shacho Kai Barcelona transformation, due to its desire to expand its scope of activity. The fundamental mission of the Association includes the desire to spread Japanese business culture.
